As for as social responsibilities are concerned Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal is very much concerned about the deterioration in environment caused by man in the name of development. He is of the firm belief that although tree plantation is done in abundance yet Green Cover is not up to the optimum level. It is because that the planted trees die for want of care and protection. Realizing the importance of protecting and nurturing the trees, Dr. Dhaliwal has launched a holistic mission "Mission Green Punjab" for New Tree Plantation, Maintenance of newly planted trees and Protect them from Stray Cattle. The mission will largely focus on nurturing of plants. To achieve desired success of this sacred mission, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal has found the root cause of improper nurturing and growth of trees and established that the "STRAY CATTLES" are the main hazard to newly planted trees. Furthermore they are the reason of road accidents and casualties also. To meet this challenge, Cluster of adjoining villages (numbering 3 to 5) will be constituted and "STRAY CATTLE" shelters will be established and managed by the Gram Panchayats of concerned Cluster. As the mission is working for the ultimate welfare of society and for the survival of future generations, the Gram Panchayats will be motivated to shoulder the responsibility of maintaining these shelters.

The target of this leading Mission is to plant trees equal to the population of Punjab.

Working hand in hand with various co-minded stakeholders, Government agencies, Industry, non-profit organizations, gram panchayats, educational institutions and local community, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal is very much optimistic about the success of the mission and committed to achieve this by 2030 positively.
